Quantum Day@PT – Academy Edition took place on 14 April, World Quantum Day, at the Salão Nobre of the Academia das Ciências de Lisboa, bringing together students, researchers, and newcomers to quantum science for an afternoon of talks, discussions, and student presentations.
The event opened with a keynote by Sougato Bose (University College London) on the quantum nature of gravity, followed by an invited talk by Jana B. Nieder (INL) and a panel discussion.
The afternoon continued with the student pitch session, where MSc and PhD students presented their research in the style of a three-minute pitch, covering Quantum Flagship topics. The best presentations were recognised during the awards ceremony. Beatriz Costa won the Best PhD Pitch Award. Pedro Henrique Magalhães Silva won the Best MSc Pitch Award, sponsored by PQI.
