PQI proudly took part in the European Quantum Technologies Conference 2025 (EQTC 2025) — a leading event that brings together Europe’s quantum community — held in Copenhagen between 10-12 November 2025.
As one of the flagship gatherings of the European quantum ecosystem, EQTC 2025 offered a unique opportunity to connect researchers, innovators, policymakers, and industry representatives from across Europe and beyond.
Throughout the conference, PQI booth attracted a large number of visitors, including colleagues from academia, representatives from partner institutions, and members of European research and innovation projects. The team presented the work being developed in Portugal across multiple areas — Research, Innovation, Policy, Education, and Outreach — highlighting PQI’s commitment to fostering collaboration and advancing quantum technologies.
A special moment was the visit of Dr. Gustav Kalbe, Deputy to the Director of DG CONNECT – European Innovation Council, who met with the PQI President, Professor Yasser Omar, to discuss the Institute’s contribution to the broader quantum community.
The Portuguese Quantum Institute’s participation in EQTC 2025 reinforced its mission to connect Portugal to the global quantum ecosystem, promote scientific collaboration, and contribute to Europe’s leadership in quantum research, innovation, and education.
