PT-UK Workshop on Quantum Technologies in Space

PQI - Portuguese Quantum Institute and the British Embassy in Lisbon organised a hybrid workshop on Friday 31 March 2023, at the Academy of Sciences, in Lisbon, entitled "Quantum Technologies in Space, a UK-Portugal dialogue".

This workshop had 80+ participants (48+ online and 32 in-person), and was chaired by Yasser Omar (PQI – Portuguese Quantum Institute & IST, Universidade de Lisboa), with the participation of the speakers Daniel Oi (University of Strathclyde), Sérgio Oliveira (Omnidea), Stefano Pirandola (nodeQ and U. de York), Michael Cuthbert (UK National Quantum Computing Centre), Geoffrey Barwood (National Physical Laboratory), Mateo Casariego (PQI – Portuguese Quantum Institute & IST, Universidade de Lisboa), Luís Bugalho (PQI – Portuguese Quantum Institute & IST, Universidade de Lisboa) and Tiago Peres (PT Space Agency).
